Uber: *****, ********** or *******?

I got the Uber app. I requested a ride and asked to pay cash. Uber requested my Credit Card details, saying my card will not be charged. And so I did, booked the ride and paid the driver in cash and gave a tip as well. Then my card was charged for the same trip. It proofed to be impossible to contact Uber. The the app claimed the amount would not be charged as Uber only places a hold until finalizing the payment or something. Then I got my statement showing I was charged. The driver charged 39 + 6 Rand tip, the app charged 55 Rand for the same trip. Absolute gangsters!
