Uber hires con artists

So I requested an uber yesterday and it said the uber is 3 minutes away but I waited for about 20 minutes and the driver was just stationery and then all of a sudden the uber map shows the driver driving to my drop off location but I was still standing outside my gate so I don't know who he was taking there, and then I call him and he says he is coming and I wait again and then I call him again and he says he thought he had to pick me up from the actual drop off location and he said he is coming back but he never did and I was still charged for the trip that I was not on... I reported this to uber and they told me they can't give me a refund because according to their records the trip took place regardless of the fact that on their records it shows that I requested another uber a few minutes later from the exact same place I had requested the first one which clearly means I did not leave my initial location,

So be cautious uber is hiring con artists now... taking normal cabs from now on...
