Uber head-office in employee in CT should not have a job
I was retrenched at the end of July and have been trying to register as an Uber driver since that time.
It has been one disaster after another. You complete one page worth of documents and think yay, `I can get working' only to find that there is another entire page of documentation that is necessary.
I made an appointment with the Uber Greenlight Hub in Pretoria to walk through my OLAS documents as I need to go the DoT and we all know what those type of departments are like. My telephonic appointment was booked for 11:15. Nearly 10 minutes AFTER that time, I need a number coming through. The person, Kay on the other end does not apologise for being late. I tell her what I require and she admits that she hasn't worked with these documents 'for a while' so is not really sure?!!! WTH?! WHY would you do this this to your potential employees? I thought an internationally renowned company would employ people who knew what they were talking about but it seems not.
This Kay individual would not let me finish a sentence and seemed more concerned with getting goff the call as quickly as possible. This is shocking and so uncalled for.
