Uber giving me the run around

<p>I ordered an uber from Illovo to Sandton Gautrain station on 18 July. The driver refused to go to Sandton gautrain citing security fears, and we ended up going to Marlboro station. Rather than an eight to ten minute trio to Sandton, it took us over thirty minutes to get to Marlboro and I subsequently missed my flight. I have informed numerous people at uber about this, and they have been apologetic, and acknowledged the driver was at fault. They claim to have refunded my fare to Marlboro, yet having already accepted culpability, refuse to repay R600 I paid for standby! I am livid, and want my money back.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am sympathetic to the plight of uber drivers being intimidated by meter taxis, but would rather they did not accept trips to sandton rather than incoveniencing passengers and making them incur undue expenses</p>
