UBER **********ly charges my credit card

On 30 May R1296.00 was charged to my credit card account held by UBER. When this charge was processed Standard Bank I received a SMS and imediately called the SBSA ***** line to report the *****elent use of my card. They informed me that i needed to contact UBER. Which I did via their Help email platform. When reporting this UBER requires a photo of the ********** transaction, which I supp****. They rep**** to the effect that "Mike" had been authorised by me to charge my card. I immeditealy responded that no person had been authorised to use my card under any circumstances.

Deathly silence from UBER.

This is a meterial amount and SBSA have confirmed that from their side the transaction was not done in UBER's normal way of doing business.

Reviewer Update

Just received a reply from UBER via the query i raised on their help.uber.com email service. I was being rather unfair to UBER and need to atone here and now. Given the circumstances and the quantum of transactions that they process the reaction from UBER was more than reasonable.

My appologies for the negative attitude, in retrospect it was unnecessary!

In essence UBER has identified the transaction as *****enlent and have agreed to refund my credit card in full. They went further as to inform me that my card was probabley comprimised and that I should cancelle it. Which I had already done but appreciate their advice.

So, in summary, WELL DONE UBER!! I've changed my rating 180 degrees!!
