Uber - Economic *******

Uber, as successful as they are in certain countries and cities, I now understand why Governments are slowly shutting them down.

Their model is based on pure ********* practices to achieve their bottom line with no repercussions and rake the free money in.

3 times in Hong Kong when I requested Uber,

the driver said he was at the pick-up I requested – he was NOT THERE. And I had to cancel and pat the cancellation fee and Uber pockets the money.The other 2 times the driver said he was at the pick-up venue; to find out he was actually across the road 150 metres away in the opposite direction. I asked to be fetched at the Sheraton Hong Kong Towers drop off – he said he is at Lego Land K11. And I had to pay again. Even if I could walk there – if one does not know the area, you kinda stumped.Same happened at the Harbour Ferry – driver parked at the shopping mall up the road. OR – he was never there and knew he would pocket my money. The driver then tells me I am at the wrong place!!! And he then says I am must cancel due to his incompetence and I am out of pocket.

If one is not fami**** with Hong Kong, that is the equivalent of asking Uber to fetch you at the London Bridge City Pier and Uber waits for me (or so he says) at Grant’s Quay Wharf across the Bridge. Or asking to be fetched at Brooklyn Bridge New York and he is at Manhattan Bridge.

What app today can that far out?

The more I text the driver in Hong Kong – suddenly acts dumb and I lose my money as he moves on to the next Uber victim

Reported this to Uber via their site. You guessed it, no response. They stole my money. and they the first to cry fowl when they get caught out on all the issues people complain openly and continually about. With 28 million riders a day worldwide – why would they care to resolve this and then still ***** your cancellation fees through no faut of the client.

Do the math if 1% of Uber clients get ripped like this – easy money. No effort.
