Über Dynamic pricing ****

I used uBer this morning to get from Westville North to Virginia Airport in Durban.

They charged me R186-00 on the way there.

On the return, it quoted me R246-00 and wanted to route via Gateway shopping centre area which was a far longer route.

I booked the ride thinking that when I gave the driver directions for the shorter route, it would correct the price. It still charged me R246-00 taking the shorter, correct route on the way home.

I phoned uBer and was told the higher fare was due to dynamic pricing depending on driver availability.

uBer is ******** their customers with the story of dynamic pricing when in fact their app is choosing a longer route and basing the fare on that longer route.
