Uber drivers not accepting short trips

Uber has become a useless service in Cape Town with Uber Black drivers not accepting your short trips. Or they accept and never arrive and one has to cancel the trip. Logging it as an issue with Uber is useless as they keep on asking you to tell you which trip you are complaining about, when there was no actual trip.
