UBER DRIVER/OWNER PUBLIC LIABILITY

UBER:

As a parent of a teenager that uses Uber all the time to obey the lawfulness of the road my son was in an accident caused by a Uber vehicle. The Uber owner refuses to take any calls and therefore I eventually managed to obtain information how to go about reporting the incident at Uber. How does a Company like Uber maintain a relationship with their clients that have valid Licensee’s and protocols with Uber and the public if there is no contact centre. Having my experience with Uber it seems that they are not interested in the Public that is supporting there Growth and Income bracket. Without the Public there will be no Uber. After numerous emails and no telephone calls from Uber they responded to say I have to proceed with a legal process why? Their Employer Uber accepted this Driver and had to meet requirements to operate under the Uber Banner and know they do not want to reveal or assist with their drivers information. In a nutshell Uber is telling me in the last email I can proceed with legal action at my cost where there client was in the wrong how does one Justify such a comment. I require legal advice please. We have a ‘webcam video’ reflecting that Uber’s driver went through the red Robot. The person that took the webcam was behind the Uber driver for a while watching him going through the 3rd Robot where my son was involved. Uber is now requesting that the Police station needs to make contact with them via EMAIL and there website . Which Police station has the time and the facility to do this????? Where is Uber in this Incident looking after the Public? There Employers and licenced owners have to have Insurance and Public Liability it is on their website. To all parents and the Public of South Africa a urge to be vigilant when making use of Uber as you are not sure if Uber will protect you as a client in one of their vehicles and the Drivers are just getting away with the ********ness of the Road.
