Uber Driver Trip *****

Driver details: CY251105 GETAHUN ABEBE. Uber is a ****, how can the driver continue with a trip when im not even in the car.

I requested uber from Bellville RFO to Tygervalley Centre and the uber price was R40. The uber stopped on the main road and as I enter the uber the driver gets stops by taxi Association. The taxi association took the uber driver out and was charged R200 for picking up uber requests on the main road. Be mindful the uber driver did not even inform us that they are not allowed to.

After 10minutes the driver starts the trip to Tygervalley Mall and we get dropped off and I go on about my day. An Hour later uber sends me notifications of taking R196.00 from my account as my trip ended in Cape Town? How when i did not add it to my trip coz my uber receipt shows Tygervalley Centre.

I reported the issue on uber and they uber bot informed me “We’ve reviewed this, and your destination did not match the one entered when requesting the trip. This caused a difference in the fare”

And thats all the help I got from Uber with my money gone. This is *****ulent activity and im unhappy a driver was able to do such to a customer.
