Uber driver refusing to return lost item

On the 10th of December 2022,my driver who goes by the name of Bonaventure, number plate JG53DYGP, was contacted right after drop off to be notified that my bag was left behind in the front passenger seat. He refused to give me his location so I could meet with him to get my bag with items inside. He said he was busy with a trip and that I should call him after 20 minutes. His number no longer works. Uber has not assisted like they should in contacting the driver and holding him liable as his acknowledgement of my bag being in his car and not returning it is theft. I hate how people are not honest anymore and feel as though they can get away with things without any repercussions. It's so sad how I out out trust in their hands yet they show us time and home again that we really cannot trust them.
