Uber driver not returning my phone after I send him money for petrol.

I left my phone with a credit card in Uber driver Brian's car. I phoned the next morning and he confirmed he found the phone. He said he did not have petrol money, so I E-Wallet him R300. He then started ignoring my phone calls and did not return my phone. I even tracked my phone to his exact home address. Uber was not at all helpful and informed me to lay a charge at the SAPS which I did. The SAPS is investigating the case but apparently the SAPS can only contact Uber through e-mail to get the driver's details. Uber should have suspended the driver until he brought back my phone, but now they involve our overburdened police services wasting valuable man-hours. I will pursue this matter until this Uber driver gets arrested for theft and ******ion and have a ******** record. Hopefully Uber will then suspend the driver which seems unlikely as Uber is supporting the Uber ********* in South Africa.

On another occasion, I left my wallet in Uber driver Junior's car, which he also did not return after promising to do so. I also did offer a reward and to pay for his trip. Uber once again was not helpful. A case has been opened against him as well.

Uber, you are pathetic and need to get your act together. I will never use Uber again.
