UBER DRIVER NOT ENDING TRIP LEADS TO LIFE THREATENING SITUATION

I requested an UBER to take me to City View at the cost of R26. The driver picked me up and dropped me off at my destination. After I finished with my errands I went back on the app to request another UBER to take me home and found that the driver (LWAMKELO-driving a grey toyota etios, number plate not showing on the site now) did not end the trip. I tried to contact him via call and message but there was no response. I needed to get home as it was getting dark and I could not request another driver because it showed that I was still in transit. To my dismay, I pressed the cancellation option and tried to request another UBER. I was notified that I would be charged an additional fee but I was not concerned about the price because I was in a very dangerous part of Durban at the time and all I wanted to do was get home as soon as possible. I tried to make a payment and it said that I OWED UBER R137 because I cancelled the trip. The driver did not end my trip, instead he continued with his other drop offs and my UBER account was charged R137. Besides the fact that I WAS STRANDED IN DURBAN CBD AT 6.30PM, I HAD NO MEANS OF GETTING BACK HOME because the UBER app did not allow me to make another request without first making payment on my account.

THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE I WAS STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF TOWN WITH NO WAY TO GET HOME I HAD NO OTHER MEANS OF GETTING HOME SAFELY I HAD TO TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORT AT 6.30PM WHEN IT WAS ALREADY DARK AND DANGEROUS WITH A LOT OF HEAVY PARCELS.

MY ACCOUNT IS STILL SHOWING PAYMENT OUTSTANDING SO I CANNOT USE THE APP TO REQUEST FOR ANY OTHER TRIPS UNTIL THIS ISSUE IS RESOLVED

The driver committed a ********** act that left me in a desperate situation and there is NO CONTACT NUMBER FOR UBER which made the situation even worse because I could not call for assistance

I need this matter resolved IMMEDIATELY and my account to be cleared!

THIS DRIVER NEEDS TO BE REPRIMANDED FOR HIS INCONSIDERATE ACTIONS WHICH LEFT ME IN A LIFE-THREATENING SITUATION
