UBER DRIVER IN CAPE TOWN DROVE OFF WITH CLIENT'S HANDBAG IN CAR

REGARDING UBER CAPE TOWN

My daughter was dropped off this morning 5 Aug at Cape Town Airport at about 7h45. She left her handbag in the Uber driver’s car. She realised this immediately after he drove off. When she tried to call the driver his phone had been switched off. My daughter is now stranded at the airport without an ID and without her plane ticket.

The driver’s name is “Terence” a.k.a. “Sivuyile”. His cell number is ********** 321 His car registration number is CA829772 and he drives a Toyota Etios

UBER has made it extremely difficult to contact them. There is NO telephone number on their website and I am unable to gain access to MY Uber account as I am required to prove, countless times, that I am not a robot! I cannot get past the "prove-that-you-are-not-a-robot" page! How many of these pictures am I supposed to click on? What a frustration in a time of crisis!

The Uber driver eventually contacted us and he says he will deliver my daughter's handbag to friends of ours in Cape Town. My main gripe is that I just find it unacceptable that it is IMPOSSIBLE to contact Uber in a crisis such as this! Surely there should be a hotline number or a website that one can email? My Uber app will not allow me to report the crisis on behalf of my daughter.
