Uber driver

On the 27th February I took an uber from jabulane to protea, I happened to forget my laptop at the back seat when I got off. I only realised after 2 hours that it's not there.i called the driver he told me it's not there and he can't trace the trips he did after me which was a lie cause they do have a record of all trip they did for the day. I found this very disturbing I begged the guy he told me uber drivers don't have that function. I called uber call centre I was told they are logging a case and somebody will get back to me till this day I'm still waiting. I sent emails was told they will get back to me as soon as they can locate the driver. It's over 5 days nothing from them.
