UBER DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS CAPE TOWN PARTNERS:

I have been an active and loyal partner for two and a half years, and this is my 10th time visiting your uber offices, pleading and at this stage begging for an ear to hear me, and help me to grow my business. In the two and half years, my pleas have been blatantly ignored and on every visitation (which costs me money and takes up my time), and I am honestly infuriated and disgusted by your lack of concern nor empathy for me and the other partners I have spoken to. In the two and a half years since joining uber, you have not increased fares, citing passenger demand considerations without looking at increasing costs of maintenance, cost of parts, costs of banking etc etc. You have also increased driver supply to such and extent where drivers dictate their prices in the market and show no concern for meeting simple terms of business of honest business owners/ partners who take risk to provide employment. Partner revenues have steadily declined since 2015 since driver costs and generally the costs of EVERTHING have increased. You have unilaterally increased your own commissions from 20-30% without remorse nor conversation with stakeholders. And at this stage are not only squeezing us partners but are quite literally forcing us out the market. Whenever I have asked to have more vehicles added so I can grow my business, and enjoy the economies of scale needed to lower unit costs to cope with the increased costs of operations, I am told I am not a priority, as indicated by the system you have in place. Yet there are partners who have in excess of 50 vehicles, and drivers, who you readily issue profiles to who rent and sell their profiles at a whim without recourse. I understand that your aim is to support drivers giving them an equal opportunity, but what about us partners? When asked If at your green light offices in cape town today if there is any way for uber to assist to grow by business, I am told there is nothing that can and willl be done to better my prospects of growing my business. Do I not matter to you? Is my voice inconsequential and insignificant? All I want is a way to prosper in the fruits of my labour and the risks that I take as an entrepreneur, and can only do so with your assistance? Please please please will you look at partners, who have been with you since the beginning I cape town and assist us. We need your help and buy-in, But time and time again you show that you do not care. But I have faith that someone will read this find a way, like what your core business model actually is, to find a dynamic way to solve a complex problem, and actually make a difreference. I hope to hear from you with a solution!
