Uber does not care about customer service.
I travelled to the airport on 14 February and lost my house keys. Upon following all my tracks, Uber confirmed that the keys were with their driver Abdi Karim.. And that he would call me. He did call me but wanted me to send him my location so he can bring the keys. But he wanted me to give him petrol money which he wasn't prepared to reveal how much. I felt uncomfortable and didn't share my location. I booked other Uber rides the following day to fetch the keys as he shared the pick-up adress. On both occasions the new drivers cancelled the trips as Abdi Karim did not come out to hand over the keys. I complained at the Uber app but they do not help. No responses to several messages I sent on the app. To date I have not receive my keys. I am fearing this driver made duplicates. I decided to replace all my keys, trellidor and house keys plus garage remotes. An exercise which costed me close to R10 000. Uber doesn't care about customer service. There is no number you can call, there is no office you can go to.
