Uber Courier Service: Item collected ****** by Uber driver

Booked the Uber delivery service to collect a new Kway Jacket I purchased privately. A driver accepted my request, collected my item and then disappeared with my item. He ended the trip at a totally different address than my own and stole my item. I've been trying for two weeks via the in app help service for some assistance and nothing is been done. I've resorted to going onto Uber/ZA Twitter for assistance and just told to revert back to the Uber app. According to the Uber app inbox , my messages show that the issue has been resolved but nothing has been done to date. I don't know what to do. I was charged for a trip that was *****ulent and was ****** of my collection item too. Uber is useless and holds no accountability for what happens with their services.
