Uber choses who to take on and who not (distance and location attractive or not)

today, 14.2.2022 i arranged a ride from glen marine to lekkerwater road capri... A driver took the ride, gave time of arrival and was going to drop somebody off in fish hoek first... yet, out of the blue he cancelled the ride and my search went from zero again to find a driver. This is unacceptable. Once a driver commits to a drive he should be bound to stick to it. Or.... Uber should give a replacement within a short waiting time... Very dissapointing.
