Uber cancellation fres

On two occasions now with uber where I had to pay cancellation fees for driver errors and I was told I couldn’t claim because I took long to claim. Mind you I only realized I was charged when I’d have to request again hence the delay. The response is also so automated it seems as though no one takes your reasoning into consideration
