Uber auto processes subscription payments with no confirmation

Uber eats offers a subscription option. I clicked on the option to see how it works and it automatically deducted a 1 year subscription amount from my account. I was not notified that this was taking place and I was not asked if I wanted to proceed with the payment. I immediately canceled my account as I could not reverse the payment made. Uber will not refund the monies, even though i have never used the service and I have cancelled my account.
