Uber are dishonest and very rude and unhelpful

I recently used Uber to travel from Greenpoint to the CT International Airport. About 2 minutes into the trip something happened to the app and it disconnected but fortunately my driver was able to reconnect and the trip continued as planned. I was then charged a cancellation fee of R42.00 (as explained the trip was NOT cancelled) and despite several attempts to get Uber to refund me the money they claim that it is "pending" and has not been charged. It has gone through my credit card account, confirmed by my bank as having been taken by Uber and to make matters worse, I got a very rude message back from Uber this morning telling me that no further commubnication will be entered into. It is not the R42.00 which is important but the principal of charging for something that did not happen. Plain DISHONESTY!

I will never use Uber again and advise customers to find honest alternative suppliers.
