Uber, are all your driver’s theives, or just the one who attempted to ****** money from me?

I had an unfortunate experience with an Uber driver last Monday, 21st of November.

I was reversing and narrowly missed hitting an Uber.

I got out of the car, only to be told that I had hit the car, which I hadn’t.

The Uber driver then shows me some superficial scratches, which I very kindly offer to remove with polish, despite me not being the cause of them.

He agreed and we exchanged numbers.

I had just gotten some terrible news, and forgot to take his car details. He was agro and tried to intimidate me.

An hour later he called to tell me that another scratch had emerged.

He called me a few days later to tell me that he had taken the car to a Panelbeater and that he had been told that he could get it fixed for R450 and that the whole bumper needed to be painted to match the paint colour.

I smsed him later that week and asked for his car details. He then refused to give them to me, abd told me that I would have to go to Soweto to get them. He told me that the had reported the matter to the police.

He was once again agro, and as a single woman I agreed to pay the R450.

I have since come to my senses, and have realized that you can trace him and sort out the matter effectively.
