Uber app malfunction- customer money ******

I took a trip to get my nieces to the doctor yesterday afternoon and had a R50 in cash on me and my trip came to R26. I then asked the driver to credit the amount which she did as I watched her. I then discovered that the doctor had closed earlier so we then had to uber back home. Later we then took another trip back to the doctor and this time I had a R100 note and again asked the driver to credit the amount which he did as I watched him do so. I then noticed with this trip that the fare should have been cheaper with the credit of the previous trip but it did not reflect. This trip came to R27 and as a result the driver credited the R73 change and showed me that he has credited it. I then gave the app time for the credit to reflect as the app was updated and I assumed this is a new process and still no change. I then reported the incidents on the app a received my difference from the R50 change but then received a message regarding the second trip from the R100 change stating," Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 1:41:23 PM · UberXThank you for getting in touch, Kayla.Sorry to hear about the issue.Due to multiple previous requests for fare adjustments, your fare for this trip cannot be adjusted. ". This was pass 11 last night so I decided to call in this morning and explained everything. After being put on hold I was told that Uber cannot reinburse me as they do not allow this after a certain number of times and going forward I should make sure that I have change for the driver. Firstly,I cannot control whether the drivers are being honest or not as I have had previous situations where drivers has not credited the amount and where drivers has completed trips without picking me up. Secondly, I have no control over the Uber app which is clearly faulty so that is on Uber not me. And thirdly, no investigation has taken place with the drivers of theses trips just to check up on the situation before getting back to me.This is disgusting and unprofessional for a company to ***** money from someone who is unemployed and borrowed money to get her nieces to the doctor. That R73 might not be anything to most people but to an unemployed individual it is so much especially if you need to pay the person back that you borrowed the money from. Who knows how many people Uber has being doing this to just because its their procedure. Completely disappointed and definitely no longer trust worthy.
