Uber app and driver (Moris - ***)

<p>Yesterday I wanted to use Uber, it was my first time...I was coming back from buying groceries with my family so I just wanted a stardard car. After I had installed the app, which showed me the map and three options of Uber rides; I entered my destination and then I clicked set pickup location by mistake. To my surprise, the app does not ask for confirmation "if I am sure I would like to use the ride option (as it was on uberBLACK - the default option)". None the less, R50 was deducted from my account. I called the driver (Moris - ********** ) when his contacts were displayed with Audi A4 and I told him that I only needed transport, not luxury ride and that I am new to the Uber thing...I don't want to be charged more for a short distance (4.9km) but he insisted that it might only charge me R50 and I told him that I saw other estimations of R120-R155 but he still insisted that it might only charge me R50. When his car came he asked me if I am using cash or card (my guess now is that he wanted to figure out if he can continue with the trip to rob me or not) and I still asked him if it will charge me more, he still insisted that Uber is cheap and that for Audi they can charge me R50 and he give me example of other places which would be expensive but were cheap with Uber like Sandton and travelling from Kempton Park to Pretoria. When we had arrived another sms notification came through of R105 for 4.9km distance. I am really feeling disappointed by Uber app and I feel conned by Moris who knew exactly how Uber system works since his been working there since 2010 but still refused to give me accurate information. I feel ****** of my little money which I am left with in the middle of the month.</p>
