Hello people who normally use Uber, please before getting into car, take the registration number of the vehicle and keep it safe with you and the name of the driver. Never ever be blind folded by the sweetness of your driver - I got ****** of my phone by an Uber driver in Cape Town late at night. He did win me by being friendly and in the process I lost my phone. I trusted him, not knowing he was aiming for my phone. Uber won't take responsibility due to technicalities, they have their way to circumvent any possible compensation or even taking responsibility...they are there solely to get the fare and it ends there...you and your property is less important to them and of no value. The stories we read on social media - don't take them lightly. I learnt the hard way. Do not try to be nice to anybody - just sit in there with your mind and conscience in alert mode because you never know the dude what he is thinking or his modus operandi to get extra money even if it means getting your property. I will never give a tip ever again...wolves in sheep clothes. Disgusted to the max...
