Stranded due to outdated map/ data.

Hi, I've just joined Uber a month ago but have been using it min 5 times a week. I don't have a problem with the drivers that part of Uber has been great. My concern is Id typed in the name of the place I'd wanted to go to a place marked on the uber app with the name and address and when I'd reached there I'd found out they had moved 5 yrs back. Now think about the reasons why one would choose Uber? It's safer, more convenient and hassel free right? Then if all that is true why was I stranded at the wrong address on the first of the month, in city center the most dangerous place of all to me (a woman unfami**** with the city) scared and panicked after finding out the place I was looking for had moved 5 yrs back? How sickening is that and to top it all my phone battery was low. Anyway I'd managed to get another uber taxi to the correct place this time and made it safely home. What I'd like to know is if Uber is so huge and has such vast clientel why don't they update their maps or locations? How can you rely on data that was captured 5 yrs ago? I'm sure this has something to do with Google maps for I'd double checked the address and saw same false information there along with a pic of the place which now sells cars. This should not have happened. Now I am always scared this could happen to me again. Another issue I have is every morning I use uber to take my kids to school and I have been having a problem with the route the uber drivers navigation system has set out. The school in question is on Route to Musgrave and instead of taking the turn closest to the school on the road to Musgrave and turn off at the school which is the fastest route to school the route chosen is to pass the school turn off and go up the bridge towards Jan smuts highway and then u turn down king Dinizulu road to go to school. Now there are many things wrong with that. For one it is peak hour traffic and that location is backed up with traffic everyday. Two is that little hill small as it is has a robot that changes lights every 3 secs so only 2-3 cars can pass through at a time. Thirdly its a much longer busier route than the other. So no matter how much I try to get my kids on time everyday they are late due to this. This maybe silly to some people but I feel differently. Our lives on a daily basis has evolved into our every step being guided by technology so why are we still relying on outdated data?
