Shockingly rude attitude of Uber driver - is this the standard.

Around midday on Monday the 17th May I boarded Uber vehicle DW49NTGP, a Nissan Almera driven by Mike, from the Advanced Groenkloof Day Hospital where I had undergone eye surgery, with destination Olympus in Pretoria East. As we left I advised Mike that I had to find a pharmacy from which I could buy my prescribed medication. Accordingly, we stopped at a pharmacy off Solomon Mahlangu street, where I went in for service. As it turned-out, there was a queue on the prescription counter. Some 10 t0 15 minutes on, I got a shockingly rude call from Mike, telling me I was wasting his time. To my mind, given that queueing was taking time - one can never control prescription lines and speed of service, I thought the civil thing to do would be to discuss compensation for the time lost which I was prepared for, with no need for shouting or rudeness. I raised my displeasure with the tone used and this led to Mike driving away, unfortunately taking with him part of my medication from the hospital. I tried to call to ask him to return my medication but he ignored my calls. I was left to walk the remaining 3km home with limited vision as an eye patch covered one of my eyes. A relative had to trace the driver Mike who, remained unco-operative, to recover my medication. This experience has left me bitterly disappointed and wondering how Uber selects its drivers!!
