My son took an Uber ride in Pretoria on my family account together with 3 friends. The fare of R480 was split into four and they each paid their share (R120) via the app. Or so it appeared. In reality, I somehow was charged R480 x 4 = R1, 920. I have lost count of the number of times I have tried to get customer service. It is like talking to a two year old. I get the most ridiculous replies and needless to say I'm still out of pocket for 15 times as much money as I was supposed to pay (been trying to sort it out since October 2018). I did not expect such unprofessional conduct from such a supposedly reputable company.
