Ridiculous over charge

Dear Uber Support, I am writing to request a review of a trip I took on 28 August 2025, from 8 Soper Street, Berea to 34 Jansen Road, Boksburg. When I confirmed the trip, the estimated fare shown in the app was R67. However, upon completion of the trip, I was charged R204, which is a substantial and unexpected increase. The driver explained upon arrival that he had experienced network issues on his phone during the trip, which may have caused incorrect tracking. He sincerely apologized and mentioned that the problem was not intentional. Unfortunately, this resulted in a much higher fare being charged. Given that the original estimate was R67, I believe this charge is excessive and unfair due to circumstances outside my control. I kindly request that Uber review the fare and consider an adjustment or refund based on the original quoted fare. Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your response.
