Non payment

So I was a driver for an Uber partner from Tuesday, 26 September 2017 to Thursday, 28 September 2017.

For the duration of my work as a driver I worked 12-14 hour shifts and earned R2 646.83 for the co. and my partner, while earning a nifty R1 301.00 for myself. Uber claims on their website (https://help.uber.com/h/42973e65-45a8-4aaf-90d5-d3e97ab61267) that payments are calculated on 04:00 Monday mornings from to 03:59 the following Monday. They also state the following:

Monday: Old payment cycle ends and new one begins Tuesday: Partner statements are added to your dashboard at partners.uber.com. Wednesday: Payments are processed in the evenings Thursday: Payments are deposited directly into your bank account

Which means that if I worked, until Thursday, 28 Sept, my payment cycle would have ended on Monday, 02 Oct. and my money should have reflect in my bank account already by Thursday, 05 October.

It's been over two weeks since I started working for Uber and what I thought was going to be a great opportunity for me has turned into nothing short of a nightmare. Good management puts the client first, but great management knows to take care of it's staff first, because if you take great care of your staff they will automatically take great care of your clients...

Since, I've been working for this co. they have shown time and time again that they do not care about the people working for them, who might even be slaving away at 12-14 hour work days. They have taken a great idea and managed to bodge it up with bureaucracy and red tape and made it next to near impossible to do simple things like access the money you've rightfully earned at the sweat of your brow or do a simple thing like change your own mobile number on your profile on the website.

Imagine a company telling you that they cannot share your account information with you due to their "privacy policy", despite the fact that you are in fact the account holder?!!! Well, Uber. I adhere that your privacy policy is a ludicrous joke much like the rest of your co. Now, pay me my money!
