No show, must pay

I booked a ride and confirmed. The driver phoned me to say that I must meet him at another spot which I couldn't do so he cancelled.

I then booked another trip. They showed a registration number starting with FS.... I watched for the driver but no vehicle with the registration that they sent me came. I then got an email to say I had to pay R25 as I wasn't at the pick up point....

Why must I pay if the driver doesn't come?
