Misrepresentation

I have recently registered with Uber. I live in Blaauwbergstrand. On Uber's registration page (on my phone) it asks whether I would like to add a gratuity, which I did because it saves me from carrying cash. However my driver (my first trip) told me that they drivers do not receive those gratuities. It is of course impossible to contact Uber by phone. Its Cape Town number belongs to someone who says Uber has put his number on their Google pages. I have been a journalist for over 40 years and I find this secrecy quite mysterious. Eddie Botha
