Lost wallet in a Uber

I lost my wallet in a Uber today. The app has a option to contact the driver immediately but the stupid thing is you cannot find a contact number for the driver. If I was able to contact him immediately I could have had my wallet back. The second option was to report it to Uber. I was informed that the driver was notified, but that I can only reply after 24 hours if I did not hear from the driver. Something as important as your wallet and they treat it like it is your earphones or something not important that you lost.
