Left stranded at midnight in Johannesburg

I attended a party with friends last night. At midnight we left - most of us by Uber. The other Uber vehicles arrived and my friends departed. Not mine. I was alone on the kerbside. I called the assigned driver. The google app had apparently given him an address 2km away! I had merely booked the Uber and allowed the app to specify the pickup address. I told him that I could direct him to my exact location. He said no ... I had to sms the address to him. Soo ... I phoned a friend to ask my exact address location. I phoned Uber again and the bloke on the phone could barely speak English and certainly couldn't understand me. He said I was aparently through to the Uber call centre .... so he verbally called out another cell phone number which I scribbled down on a s**** of paper ... and smsed the driver my address details. I got an update from the app that he would be another 8 minutes. I watched his vehicle (on the app) driving around aimlessley ... but not towards me. I dialled the driver's number again (numerous times) ... and got a message that my call could not be connected. Then, after 5 minutes, the driver must have simply cancelled the trip!!! I was simply dumped!!! I called friends and asked them to come back and wait with me for obvious safety and security reasons. I then ordered a new Uber ride and a perfectly professional driver arrived about 6 minutes later and took me home (and I gave him a 5-star-rating). I looked at the Uber website this morning and simply cannot find contact details to discuss this matter with them. I suspect the organisation simply don't want direct contact with their customers! Sooo .... a really shocking Uber experience last night!
