Lack of customer care

I recently lost most cell phone and bought a new one. I decided to also change my sim card. I have now downloaded Uber and upon verification I select the option that I changed my contact number and rightfully so they send a verification code on my email. I entered that verification code and it keeps stating "access denied" contact support, the support is not the friendliest as it gives you options with tips that don't work. I am so frustrated as I have been attempting this for the past 5 days.
