iPhone left in uber, subsequently ****** by their driver.

After being dropped off at my home, I realized that I had inadvertently left my iPhone in your driver’s car. Upon this realization, I immediately called my phone, and the driver answered. He assured me that he would return the phone to my house, but unfortunately, he never did. Subsequent attempts to reach the driver via my phone were unsuccessful as my calls went unanswered. I tracked the phone’s location to Roodepoort and later to Sandton City, at which point the device was switched off, making further tracking impossible. I am deeply concerned about the driver's behavior, which raises serious questions about his intentions. His failure to return the phone as promised, refusal to respond to my calls, and ultimately switching off the phone all suggest deliberate ****gery.

I reported this matter to uber, then uber just asked him if he saw my phone his car, the the driver said no he didn't see it. Uber decided to close my case, even after providing them with evidence that shows that I called my phone and the driver answered and we talked for 2 min trying to persuade him to bring my phone.

I was expecting Uber to at least sanction him from their platform, but they failed to do so.
