******ion overcharged insane amount with total refusal to refund the difference

i booked a trip to two addresses in Pretoria. Drop off at the first address was at 01:19. The second address was only 5km away. The driver did not terminate the trip after the second and final drop off. Driver kept on driving for an hour after the second and final drop off and 16km in the opposite direction before only terminating the ride at 02:12 at a total random address not part of the booking.

I was billed an additional R1 200 above the initial estimate due to the drivers fault. Absurd!

Uber support just keep saying the trip is not eligible for a price adujstment. How on earth is this acceptable or legal? It is ******ion and definately against the CPA of South Africa.

One of the reasons why I guess people are starting to use alternatives and this is ****ming customers out of huge amounts of koney and nit atking any accountability for the ******ion by their drivers.
