If you leave your Cell Phone in an Uber car, that's the last you'll see of it!

It seems that I am adding to the litany of bad reviews on Uber. I left my cell phone in an Uber cab on Friday 20 July. I realised immediately and called the phone repeatedly until the next day when the battery ran flat. THERE IS NO WAY OF CALLING UBER! They responded a day later electronically stating that they would send a verification code to my phone! The one they had pinched! Their offices are closed at the weekend so I went on Monday morning. The customer services guy called the driver Simon who denied knowledge of the phone. When interacting with SAPS and Cell C regarding a replacement instrument, they both stated that Uber theft of cell phones was rampant - several every day.
