I requested an Uber on 27 April 2025 at OR Tambo Airport

I requested an Uber on 27 April 2025 at OR Tambo Airport. My Uber driver was lost for approximately 20 minutes. I noticed on my receipt that there was a charge for a 'wait time' for an amount of 22.30 ZAR. I raised this with Uber. The response received was that 'they are sorry to hear the driver took a longer route' and refunded me an amount of 6.62 ZAR. I have an issue with the wait time charge and requested that the correct amount be refunded to me. Uber advised that, I had already been refunded. Again, my issue with the wait time charge. Uber advised me that the wait time fee has been introduced to compensate the driver for the time they are not on the road and make the time of users more productive. I'll never be using Uber again and I'll also be advising everyone of this ridiculous charge, Uber's poor customer service and exploitation of its users.
