I d book left I'm car

My son left his I D book in the uber car and called the driver in the morning who confirmed he had it and he should send his details to a number. The driver has since become unreachable and I am desperate to get it back and the driver did seem happy to meet and return but now no response. Do I report it ****** or is there any way to get hold of the driver
