Greedy Uber makes me starve
I'm a 72 year old state pensioner, I spent the day in December with my daughter and my other daughter, her boyfriend and myself used an uber to return home. My daughter from overseas then refunded the money to me. When I was booking the ride in the app there was aggressive marketing of uber one and three months free if you pay your fare with Capitec. Somehow I became subscribed. About an hour ago I received a pre charge for R50 from uber I phoned Capitec and was told that it was uber eats which I never use and something about unsubscribing via the uber eats app. I installed the uber app and logged in then I discovered the uber one membership and a message saying I've saved R41. After cancelling my membership it stated that my membership ends on the 21st of March. From what I read I stand a chance of having my R50 returned within 14 days. I have to buy food until the end of the month ingredients for a stew that feeds me for 10 days. This costs me R100 but now I only have R50 and I don't know what to do. Well done uber you've successfully crippled me with your greedy marketing manipulation. Well done Capitec you've involved yourself with a company that has no recourse. There is no way to contact uber accounts probably because they don't want to improve
