Germany promos

I have referred friends to uber, they were able to get their free rides but not me. I emailed uber, received unprofessional responses each time and they kept resolving my case... I was advised that my account was created in Germany, how? Why will I select Germany??? Doesn't make sense.. They said I need to change my country to S.A and the promos currency will automatically change. Nowhere in my uber account is there an option to change the country but everything on my account pointed to a South African account I even sent them screenshots... They eventually said it will be escalated, after the escalation I waited nearly two weeks for them to say "sorry but this account has account has a German country selected and you will not receive your promos" what the hell its not my fault that ur app is faulty why on earth would I choose Germany??? The people I referred are from cape town with the exact same account settings as mine... why could they use theirs but mine says Germany?
