Extremely Disappointed – Uber Driver Stole My Phone and Support Is Useless

An Uber driver listed in the app as Zain Keith, driving a white Toyota Vitz (MC34VLGP), stole my phone during a trip, and Uber support has been completely unhelpful throughout this entire situation.

I reported the incident immediately, provided all the details, and even showed that the driver switched off my phone and drove straight to Hillbrow. Despite this, all I keep getting from support is generic messages with no real action or urgency.

This is a serious safety issue, and Uber has shown zero accountability. I want it to be known how poorly this has been handled and how unsafe this experience has been. I’m deeply disappointed and expected far better from a company that claims to prioritise rider safety.
