Extra charge without authorisation and knowledge.

On the 1st of May 2024 I requested a ride to Menlyn Shopping Centre & I was charged R60.00

On the 5th I bought food via Uber Eats for R146.00. I received two separate notifications for R146.00 & R143.00.

I asked then via emails/support query option on the app and they responded with:

…”Happy to explain. You can check the pickup and drop off locations by choosing the trip from your trips log. However, the trip fare on 1ST of May is ZAR 203, and the amount ZAR 143 is the rest of the fare after we've deducted the amount ZAR 60”….

So I asked them… How do you charge me extra R143.00 on top of R60.00. When I was charged R60.00.

I then see the Uber went to Arcadia after dropping me off. Without me inside. To an address I never requested.
