Excessive uber pricing

I have two issues with uber. Firstly, the excessive surging in Cape town at times that cannot be peak times (9pm on a Sunday evening out of holiday season) makes the service cost prohibitive. There are other alternatives to Uber and they should be careful of pushing the limits too far. Secondly, I am supposed to get a 25% due to my Discovery Insurance policy. This worked very well until recently, when Uber unilaterally put a promotion on my profile that I didn't ask for, called ZAR0. Because of this, my Discovery discount no longer applies and I cannot get rid of this new promotional on my profile, which gives me a discount of 2 cents per trip. I have written to Uber over 10 times to have this promotion taken off my app, but cannot get them to do so. What a ****!! I will be using taxify in the future.
