Driver doesn't want to give back a phone and keys left in his cr last night

Last night I requested a ride from Clremont to Sybrand Park around 12-1am and unfortunately forgot a bag with my friend's phone and my house keys. We spent all day trying to get ahold of the driver as the phone that we requested with was the one left in the car. My friend finally logged into her icloud account to add a message and my number on her phone to call us and at last in the evening the driver called us and we apologized for the inconvenience and even offered to pay for the time wasted,at first he sounded understanding but when he mentioned the amount he wanted us to pay for him to bring the items and we suggested Uber parcel instead ,he started going in circles stopped picking up our calls and stopped responding to messages on WhatsApp.
