Dear Hello Peter, I'm reaching out about a charge for a trip my dad took from Grassy Park to Strand with Uber which wasn't completed as expected. The driver cited petrol and mechanical issues, dropped him short of the destination, and he had to arrange alternative transport. He paid the driver R200 cash, but I'm now being charged R245 via the app. Given the circumstances, I believe this charge is unfair. I've attached screenshots of the trip, including the live location showing the stops in Macussar and Strand due to car trouble. The driver received R445 in total (R200 cash + R245 charged to my account), despite not completing the trip. I'd appreciate it if you could look into this. Uber just refunded me a R6 on my Uber account which was yesterday the 19th April 2026 this happened on the 31st March 2026
