****** by an Uber Easts Driver

Yesterday, I ordered some chicken licken to be delivered at the High Performance Centre Parking at the University of Pretoria. In my delivery instructions, I clearly asked that the driver call me on my direct line when he gets there and I provided the number to call me on. Oh his way, the driver sent me a message asking where I was and I gave him clear instructions of where I was - the same instructions I had given him under the delivery instructions. When he arrived, he asked me where I was again and I gave him the same instructions. I then asked where he was so I could go to him and he kept on saying he is here. I looked for him and couldnt see him and I asked him again. He then became very unprofessional and rude saying he has other deliveries to do , he will eat my food if I am not serious. So we kept having a back and forth trying to find him and he took a photo, out it on Uber Eats and said he couldnt locate me. He then called me with a different number to tell me has left with my food and if I am serious about getting it, I should meet him in Hatfield. I refused to meet him in Hatfield because I had paid a delivery fee for my food. He had since blocked me.

I sent am email to Uber and they said the driver made multiple attempts to locate me and unfortunately I cannot get a refund.

I think this is very unprofessional. In cases like these, the driver should take the food back to the store and not eat it. This is how they get away with eating the customers food because they know they have backing . I am very disappointed.
