BEWARE OF UBER PRICES

I have noticed no matter how hot it is, Uber switches off the aircon until they reach the freeway. On the 10th February 2020 we called an Uber from Durbanville to Cape Town International Airport and got quoted R315.00. My Husband gave him a R10 tip. When I arrived at the airport I got an sms stating that the fare was R469 authorisation date 10th February 2020, R10 (Tip) authorisation date 11th February 2020 and another one for the price quoted of R315.00 authorisation date 10th February, 2020. Is this the way Uber is conducting their business? Are they too employing ******* drivers and trying to take advantage of the public? We have always been satisfied with their services, but now we are very sceptical.
